I’m a UK-based foodie who spends hours trawling other people’s blogs when I’m planning my next holiday and I love finding genuine recommendations – especially for restaurants and bars!
In 2019, my husband and I took three months off work to travel across South East Asia, Australia, New Zealand and Indonesia – in what was an incredible, but jam-packed trip. We had just two nights in some places, so in order to soak up as many of the sights and as much of the culture as possible, this often meant whizzing around some of the most beautiful sights, in order to jump to the next! Hence, ‘speed tourism’ was born!
It’s a travel style we’ve adopted ever since and, whilst many might say we’re not giving each sight the attention it’s due, it means we can cram lots in and, if we’re that interested, we’d hang around for longer!
Returning from this amazing trip, I decided to share my musings on the hotspots, hotels and dining spots we discovered during our travels – plus other trips we’ve taken before and since!
